Val Camonica

Val Camonica, a heritage for everyone

Valle Camonica safeguards the rock art of Val Camonica, boasting approximately 140,000 testimonies dating back over 8,000 years and is a UNESCO heritage site. Hidden within a splendid wooded environment, over 2,000 rocks in the area are engraved with symbols that still tell us stories
of hunters, sailors, farmers, warriors, creating one of the world's most significant collections of rock art.
With the aim of making the valley accessible to all, thanks to the S.T.A.I. project, interventions have been carried out to make this heritage accessible. In particular, the itinerary to the Massi di Cemmo is now accessible to people with motor disabilities.
