Colli di San Fermo

Colli di San Fermo

Val Cavallina is an enchanting area crossed by numerous trails and surrounded by the shores of Lake Endine. One of the most beautiful stops is the Colli San Fermo, nestled on Monte Ballerino. From here, you can admire a breathtaking panorama not only towards the plain and Lake Endine, but also of the Orobie and Rhaetian Alps.

With the aim of making these unique places accessible to all mountain lovers, the S.T.A.I. Project has carried out interventions to improve the accessibility of the area for tourists with disabilities.

The focus of the work is the area of Colli di San Fermo, a territory located between Lake Endine and Lake Iseo. The planned works will lead to the creation of an accessible loop trail on the Colli di San Fermo, extending the usability of a section of the trail already classified as "Accessible - Touristic". This trail was created in collaboration with the CAI of Bergamo.

The commitment to the accessibility of the area has been present since 2019 with the initiative "CamminaOrobie – In the mountains together with a different step," through the creation of an accessible route of about 600 meters culminating in a viewpoint over the valley below, equipped with a bulletin board accessible to all. As part of the same initiative, tactile maps have been installed in various municipalities in the area, allowing visually impaired people to obtain information about the route.
