Lake Garda is an ideal destination: the area surrounding the lake is very diverse and the climate particularly mild. The intensely blue water contributes to making Garda a highly sought-after tourist destination. Starting from the south and moving up the western coast of the lake, here are some tips on places not to miss in the Lombardy region.
With the aim of making this area even more accessible, thanks to the STAI project and the collaboration of the Garda Lake Accessible Association, four new accessible itineraries will be created to discover some of the most renowned Brescia locations around the lake. Enhancements and implementations of signage and aids will facilitate access and usability of numerous points of interest in the area, along specially identified routes in Desenzano del Garda, Sirmione, Bedizzole, and Carzago Riviera. From cultural symbols like villas, museums, and castles to natural trails, and including restaurants, shops, commercial activities, and of course tourist and accommodation facilities. A comprehensive plan involving the entire territory designed to offer everyone the opportunity to experience these fantastic locations.
