Città Alta is one of the symbols of Bergamo's beauty, having inspired films, books, and compositions. What makes it so special? Could it be its magical atmospheres, unique panoramas, its UNESCO Heritage walls, or perhaps the alleys and shops rich in history?

Città Alta is a treasure of inestimable historical and architectural value, a pleasure for the soul that cannot and should not be excluded from anyone. With the goal of making it even more accessible, the STAI project has initiated an infrastructural intervention to pave and improve the accessibility of the pedestrian route between Via Isolata (exit of the Parking Fara) and Via Gombito in the center of Città Alta.

Additionally, a 3D tactile model in brass of the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore will be created, aimed particularly at blind and visually impaired people to give them the opportunity to explore the external surfaces of the monument. These interventions are aimed at improving the usability of the historic village.
